Ways to reach operators

These are rated from “best” to “worst” in terms of conversion and effort.

The math is brutal: a warm intro converts to a call at maybe 60-80%, cold outreach at 2-5%. Burn warm relationships before cold ones.

Warm intros (highest conversion, hardest to scale)

Community-based (medium warmth, high signal)

Operators in any vertical cluster somewhere. Find the cluster.

Cold outreach (lowest conversion, infinitely scalable)

When you’ve burned warm channels and need volume.

Public-facing inbound (slowest, but compounds)

Tactics that punch above their weight

Calibration on volume

If you want 15 conversations a month, plan for roughly:

That’s the funnel. Going below this on volume usually means missing the conversation target.

One thing I’d suggest for your next two weeks:

Pick one vertical to focus the conversation push on at any given time, even if you’re exploring two or three in parallel. The reason: outreach has a learning curve specific to the vertical. The language, the objections, the right opening, the right time to call — all vertical-specific. If you spread 15 conversations across three verticals, you’re a beginner in three places. Concentrate to learn faster, then rotate.
